Eligibility: all media; must be 18 or older

Entry deadline: April 1, 2010

Exhibition Dates: April 10, 2010 – May 29, 2010

Opening Reception: Saturday April 10, 2010 7-10pm

This call invites artists working with the medium or subject of “yellow” to submit works for inclusion in ”Yellow”, a MyPAC group show. A variety of works are sought. Large to small scale installations, as well as completed works and/or proposed works will be considered.

Yellow: A color that is Primary. A color that is optically expansive in nature. A color that even as children we relate to as the Sun, warmth, and heat. A color that is atmospheric. A color that can indicate caution. A color that can indicate illness. A color that can elicit strong emotions. How would artists possibly subvert the list. Without neutralizing it's and energy intrinsic power. Thus redefining our notion of the functions and properties and clichés of the color... Yellow. – Bruce Stiglich, MyPAC Curator
